Bobcat Promise FAQ-Things You Need to Know!

  • The Bobcat Promise is a combination of federal, state and institutional grants.  For example, a student may receive the Pell Grant (federal), the TEXAS Grant (state) and a matching grant (institutional).  The Bobcat Promise is not an extra award in addition to the grants offered, but rather it describes the combination of the grant offer.  We guarantee that students will have access to enough grants to cover tuition and mandatory fees if their FAFSA® income is $50,000 or less per year.

  • No. The Bobcat Promise will cover tuition and mandatory fees, but not housing, meal plans, books and other costs.  You will need to plan for these expenses.
